RINGING THE CHANGES WITH CELEBRITY STYLE

You do not need to wait for the man to come and pop it on your finger to wear a ring that you will love eternally. If you find ‘the one’ – and by that we mean a ring – it will be the finishing touch on a perfect outfit and make your hands look ultra-glamorous.

Your ring is a representation of you. Some designs are to signify beliefs – such as a fisherman’s ring or a Russian wedding ring. Some are rings to remind you of a memory or a special person – and of course the ultimate expression of love, is the diamond. But sometimes you just want it to say ‘I’m fabulous’ and complete your outfit.
Costume jewellery these days uses a huge variety of materials. There are so many choices for any type of look; crystal, cubic zirconia, glass and semi-precious stones are all used to give the appearance of the real deal. The metals used include gold or silver plated brass, vermeil or sterling silver, but the most interesting are the ones by the more creative of the designers which are experimenting with plastics, acrylics and wood. Not only will the ring draw everyone’s attention, but you won’t be able to look away either.
Cheryl Cole knows that people are always fascinated by her ring choice – the press is obsessed over which finger any rings are on due to the drama surrounding her marriage. Seeing as even her hands are talked about, she gracefully distracts attention from whether or not there is anything on her ring finger and to some statement rings that deserve being discussed! Cheryl proves how personal rings can be when she designed her own ring with the word ‘promise’ engraved into it.

Pixie Lott has a style which is a mixture of cute and individual – seen with rings that range from Gothic silver to hand-made scrabble letter rings – which then took over the nation as a craze. No matter how out there, Pixie will try it and undoubtedly pull it off. Her fingers sparkle with crystals combined to look like diamonds, roses and ruby-coloured glass – showing that you do not need to stick to the generic styles and can go as crazy as you like!

Kim Kardashian’s hands have also been talked about constantly over the last few months, especially after her marriage to NBA star Kris Humphries. Despite having the best engagement and wedding rings in the business, Kim does not shy away from costume jewellery and goes for statement rings. If you are not into the bold style that she chooses then you can also find imitations of her more understated wedding ring for a good price.

Style icons have helped to get costume jewellery as popular as it is, showing that no matter what the price, as long as it looks fantastic then anything goes. This has been the theme throughout history, from the art deco period into the styles we get in modern times. We now have so many types to choose from, be it a unique ring that only you have, or one that everyone seems to have and adore, or even one with a deep personal meaning to you.

Whatever style you are going for you will be able to find imitations at an affordable price, so you can feel like Elizabeth Taylor, Coco Chanel or even the Duchess of Windsor, but without the huge price tag. Even the late Princess Diana’s engagement ring is available to you without having to marry into the family.

You can be your own fashion icon and do not need to copy anyone else, so embrace the individuality trend that Cheryl, Kim and Pixie have taken upon themselves and accessorise in a way that will show exactly who you are, and stand out from the crowd.

CELEBRITY STYLE – THE JEWELS IN THE CROWN

When it comes to true chic, someone once said, ‘less is more’. And sometimes as we know, that can be true. A really good designer dress needs only a pair of fabulous shoes and one great piece of jewellery, to accentuate its simple perfection.

But if you don’t have the necessary thousands for a string of real pearls, and nobody has given you a row of perfect diamonds, or a Faberge pendant, you can still accessorise to perfection, with clever fashion jewellery. Not only can you work a classic look, but you can also choose from far more styles than ever before, and from any number of shapes and materials, to ensure that your fashion necklace is much more than an accessory, it’s also a statement of your personality, a talking point, or just a bit of fun.
Fashion jewellery can be inspired by anything: A period of history perhaps, or an iconic design phase, such as art deco, or Georgian. Other countries and cultures also offer us a multitude of fabulous styles, materials and inspiration. From South American Indian leather cords and beading, to Mediterranean earthenware beads, filigree Russian silver, venetian glass, or even English carved wood, fashion necklaces can be made of just about anything.

Modern style icons such as Cheryl Cole, Pixie Lott and Kim Kardashian are famous for knowing how to mix and change looks to suit their mood, the event, and the message.  And there’s no quicker way to ring the changes than with a great fashion necklace.
Cheryl’s great at making a £20 purchase look like a million dollars, by putting it with the right neckline, the right hair, and mixing and matching real with imitation. Recent looks have included a fabulous silverwork collar which was worn with a pale grey dress, a heavy string of ebony beads, which made its appearance on X-Factor, and several stylish pendants.

As well as launching her own range of designer fashion jewellery, Kim’s been building up to bigger and bigger necklaces too, making headlines with Egyptian inspired pieces, heavy metal collars and layers and fringes made from a wide variety of metals and stones.
Meanwhile, on the red carpet, popster Pixie’s been pictured with an antique-look cameo locket, which started a big fashion craze, handfuls of biker-style long chains, and more plays on her name, with silver and gold ‘pixie’ necklaces.

Celebrities are no strangers to having to work a different look every day. And you can do it too, without having to change into a series of designer outfits.  Keep a look out for original, stylish pieces which work with your style, and don’t be afraid to bundle up necklaces or chains, add your own touches with extra cords, or ribbons, and let inspiration take over. Then as you leave your day job, change a jacket for a camisole top, a T-shirt for a halter-neck, open up the neck of a work shirt, add a big fashion statement necklace, and you’re good to go, from day to evening, and onward.

BRACE YOURSELF WITH CELEBRTIY STYLE

Every little girl loves to dress up and it’s the same for grown women. Whatever the occasion, one woman can become cute casual or glamorous party girl, formal or informal, rock or office chic.  The transformation can be exhilarating.  Looking for fashion tips and advice to suit your personal needs and demonstrate your individuality is a lifestyle anyone can enjoy.  Many women follow style icons to get the most talked-about look, and the gurus of style are celebrity women whose fashion choices are celebrated all over glossy style magazines.

Jewellery was once something only the rich could enjoy.  Diamonds and other precious jewels were out of reach for the common shopper.  But today with costume jewellery, anybody can be and feel as glamorous as the expensively adorned, without having to pinch pennies!  Luxury and excitement are achievable with something simple, like a bracelet.

A dextrous accessory, there are: thick or thin bangles, delicate chains or cute charm bracelets.  They balance out exposed skin, especially when paired with a party dress, and can complement a jacket or add glitz to a plain jumper.

The celebrity on the top of most women’s style icon list is Cheryl Cole.  She’s everywhere: on TV, on the front pages of the most popular fashion magazines, and all for a very good reason.  She has become the nation’s representative of youth, fashion and individuality with her modern and creative style. On top of that, she has her own brand of fashion.  She carefully selects her jewellery, with her latest choice being a Daisy Heart Chakra Bracelet.  It is spiritual, meaningful and a beautiful piece of jewellery.  She also wears a ‘Sweeties’ Link silver bracelet.

Bold reality TV star Kim Kardashian is one of the most photographed women of today.  She has a very unique fashion sense, with strong deep ‘cuff’ style bangles and armlets that shimmer with semi-precious stones and crystals for bonus bedazzlement. She ranges from the 1930s simple chic to the more raucous and adventurous modern looks.  Kim layers up tons of bracelets and bangles on her long slender arms to really make a statement.

Bohemian-style music star Pixie Lott is a fun and sexy style icon who brings individuality to her outfits.  In terms of bracelets, she prefers delicate pieces that complement her tiny frame.  Recently, she has been wearing sleek silver twists and chains, cords with threaded semi-precious stones and chunky wooden bangles from South American.

Pick from high street stores, the internet, catalogues or market stalls; your resources for fashion bracelets are unlimited. Glam yourself up with oriental or futuristic designs, mix vintage and neo-modern styles together and make a truly unique ensemble. Take advantage of today’s range of resources.  There are a huge variety of interesting materials that can make beautiful jewellery cheap.  Go green by visiting markets or adopting second hand jewellery.  Or, treat yourself with an investment piece you know you’ll always wear.

It’s your choice.  Take tips from your favourite style icon.  Colour code and contrast your bracelets, layer up, or complete an outfit with a one-style-suits-all must-have bracelet.  Be original and be yourself, and remember: if it makes you feel good, you’ll look good.

Diana Mini Camera with Flash

Hi Readers,

I have been searching for a decent Camera for ages, as I have decided that I want to give more on my blog with photography, showing you in real life my adventures and outfit choices!! I have also taken a photography course, many years ago when I was studying at College so I am very interested in capturing beautiful and unique pictures. Finding a good camera at great value for money is very hard these days however the other night I stumbled across Lomography website, an amazing online shop with amazing cameras, including the Diana Mini Camera ( Pictures above) I really want the black and Blue one, however if you are really girlie and love pink accessories then you can go for the pink  & black mini which is just so cute and awesome! I have noticed that most fashion bloggers use these cameras and their photos are always of a very high quality. I think one of the main reason that they go for them is that they are a fashion accessory in themselves, adding a touch of vintage class and chic to your outfit. For the full package with flash you are looking at about £119.00 which I think is a brilliant price.

Have any of you readers got one of these? Let me know what you think? Belle xxx
